Trial of Sermon Recordings

I have had a few members of the congregation request that I record my sermons for those who like to relisten to ponder in their own time. Recording sermons also makes sense in a multicentre congregation, where not every location has a service every week.

As such, I started trialling recording my sermon today.

This has been interesting for a few reasons.

  1. While this is not the first time I have listened to myself preach, I never enjoy the experience (does anyone like hearing their own voice?)
  2. I appreciate that there are some points where I speak far too quickly, and need to slow down
  3. The sound quality obviously needs some improving. I have put it through some basic editing, but the sound still spikes in or out from time to time.

Nevertheless, for those who might be interested the sermon is available now here.
