Sunday 29 March – FULL SERVICE (Lent 5A – Ezekiel 37.1-14)

The full service recording of worship from Crookwell Uniting Church on Sunday 29 March 2020, exploring the ‘Valley of the Dry Bones’ in Ezekiel 37.1-14.

Hello, and welcome to worship at Crookwell Uniting Church. Sort of. In fact, welcome to worship from my home to yours. It is good to be together in this way, even if we can’t be physically in the same room.

Today, as we worship,
it is important to acknowledge that the Uniting Church is in a covenant relationship with the Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress.

And, so, this morning I acknowledge that I am streaming this worship from the ancestral lands of the Gundungurra and Wiradjuri peoples.

I acknowledge that through this land,
God nurtured and sustained
the First Peoples of this country,
and, I honour them for their custodianship of the land.

I believe today, either watching live, or watching the recording, we have with us members of the Crookwell congregation, the Goulburn parish, the Grace community and residents of Viewhaven. Also, I know by the magic of the internet, we might have other people with us from further afield as well.

In this strange moment in history we are living through, please know that this sacred time that we will mark together is a safe space for all to worship our God, no matter who you are, what your background is, who you love, what you are anxious about or why you have come.

It is Christ that calls us together as his people today. So, let us worship as one people, in many places.
